Remedial or Deep Tissue Massage is similar to a holistic massage except, as the name suggests, the techniques used focus on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

Slower strokes and direct deep pressure or friction is applied to the muscles, tendons and fascia. This can help to break down areas of scar tissue or adhesions within the tissues and realign the muscle fibres helping to relieve pain and improve range of movement.

Deep tissue massage can sometimes be a little uncomfortable during or after the massage but this make way to much more flexible, relaxed and pain free muscles soon after.
